Are you a good loser or a poor loser? Especially in a work relationship, friendship, or romantic relationship, do you feel like you have to win?

Don’t answer that question too quickly – a lot of people want to be right, and it’s the tendency to fight for winning the “I’m right” battle that torpedoes relationships of all kinds.

Learn to be a great loser. Seriously – practice losing well. When you lose a game you play on your phone, just you against the game, use those losses to role-play being OK with losing. Smile and remember that it’s only a game, and winning is more fun when it doesn’t happen all the time.

In the real world of relationships, remember that you can’t be right all the time without alienating those you constantly defeat. Relax. Losing is part of life. Get great at it!
