How to Conquer Frustration - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
Frustration is so frustrating! You are trying to do something that doesn’t make sense, it refuses to make sense, and you feel mired in your inability to make it make sense.
That feeling sucks, doesn’t it? You feel like you can’t, like you’ll never be able to, and thoughts like that take you down the “beating yourself up” road.
Stop. When you feel frustration coming on, take a walk. It could be up and down the hall or it could be outside – move your feet and let your arms swing naturally. This will bring your brain back into a calmer state, one where creativity is more likely to come out and play.
When you go back to the impossible task, instead of saying “I can’t figure this out” say “I’ll learn how to make this work.” You’ve been learning all your life – you’ll learn this, too!
