What is your workspace like? Is it a place that feels comfortable and home-like, or one that’s sterile and bland?
If you can, give yourself the gift of comfort while you work. Put padded mats or rugs where you stand for long periods of time. Get an ergonomically correct, comfortable chair to sit in. These things are not frivolous – they’re the tools you need to do your job well.
Dad taught my brothers and me to always use the right tool for the job. You need the right tools for your job because your comfort directly impacts your effectiveness.
Look around your workspace – how can you improve your comfort in the place you spend a third of your day? Give yourself what your body needs so you can do your best work.
