Are you a team leader? Your team could be your family, it could be a volunteer group, it could be your work team – if you interact with a group of people, you’re on a team, and if you help to create success, then you’re a team leader.

There’s one sure-fire way to help the people on your team be the best they can be: treat them like they already are.

Seriously – listen to their ideas. Consider what they share with you, even if you think it won’t work. Give them opportunities to show you what they can do.

When you treat someone like a novice in need of learning and wisdom, they won’t flourish because they spend their time second-guessing themselves. When you treat someone like a superstar, they become a superstar.
